Just in time for the “most powerful tech event in the world”, CES 2024 in Las Vegas, ERAZER is also taking its high-end gaming laptops to the next level and announcing a CPU refresh to the latest Intel processor generation for the award-winning ERAZER Beast X40 and ERAZER Major X20 gaming laptops. In addition to the update of the two existing laptops, ERAZER is also launching an expansion of the portfolio with the new ERAZER Beast X40e.
ERAZER Beast X40 and ERAZER Beast X40e
The successful Beast X40, which has already set new standards in terms of performance, is now even more powerful thanks to the update to the latest generation Intel Core™ i9-14900HX processor. In terms of GPU, the laptop continues to feature the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with 16 GB VRAM, promising graphics performance that allows gamers to fully immerse themselves in virtual worlds. NIVDIA G-Sync technology, which is used for both the card and the display, ensures smooth, immersive gameplay with greatly reduced screen tearing.
The more affordable ERAZER Beast X40e is a new addition to the ERAZER gaming laptop range. As the name suggests, the laptop is very similar to its big brother in terms of design, format and features and is also equipped with the latest generation Intel Core™ i9-14900HX processor. There are differences with regard to the graphics card – the Beast X40e comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 with 8GB VRAM. And while the separate ERAZER Cooling Kit, an external water cooling system for up to 10 per cent more performance1, is available for the X40, the X40e comes without this option and the corresponding connections.
In addition, two 1 TB PCIe Gen 4×4 SSDs and 32 GB DDR5 RAM with up to 5,600 MHz provide sufficient capacity for both models – ideal for anyone who wants to stream or record their game at the same time. A 17-inch QHD+ 100 per cent sRGB display with 240 Hertz ensures that the overview is maintained even in hectic moments and a wide 16:10 aspect ratio ensures that opposing players can be spotted that crucial second earlier. The new CPU and GPUs are equipped with liquid metal thermal paste to ensure sufficient cooling even in the hottest PvP situations. ERAZER Major X20
The ERAZER Major X20 is also equipped with the latest generation Intel Core™ i9-14900HX processor and is therefore ready for the most demanding games and tasks. In addition, the 16-inch laptop comes in a compact format with proven features: An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU with 8 GB VRAM and NVIDIA G-Sync technology ensures smooth gaming, immersive gameplay and reduced screen tearing. The performance package is complemented by a 2 x 1 TB PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD and a 32 GB DDR5 RAM with up to 5,600 MHz for short loading times and fast programme launches. The GPU and CPU are equipped with a liquid metal thermal compound to ensure that nothing burns out even in the most intense battles, while the 100 per cent sRGB QHD+ display with 16:10 aspect ratio provides the necessary overview. ERAZER has also installed a mechanical keyboard with CHERRY MX Ultra Low Profile switches in the Major X20 for that crucial bit of precision at the fingertips. The two speakers with Nahimic 3D sound round off the laptop on the audio side.
The new Intel processor generation
The latest generation of Intel processors with hybrid architecture have been developed to meet the demands of even the most performance-hungry titles. The cores combined on one processor take on different functions – high-performance cores (P-cores) for higher raw speeds and smaller E-cores for maximising CPU efficiency. In addition, the integrated Intel Thread Director ensures that the cores work together efficiently for even more reserves for multitasking, streaming, video encoding and other background tasks – all while the game is running.

The ERAZER Beast X40 with the latest generation of Intel processors will be available from the end of January 2024 for 3.299,- Euro, the ERAZER Major X20 with the latest generation of Intel processors from February 2024 for 2.299,- Euro and the new ERAZER Beast X40e also from February 2024 for 2.699,- Euro at our retail partners.
